About me

As a freelance .NET technology consultant, I am primarily active in the fields of .NET (Core) - development, SharePoint, software design and frameworks. After I set the foundation for my career through my two degrees - Master of Science, and Business Informatics Diploma (FH) - I am now a respected consultant, trainer, and developer for my clients, with more than 20 years of professional experience in the development and conceptual design of special software.

As a certified MCPD, MCITP, and MCTS in SharePoint, I am also the author of the SharePoint column in the magazine “windows.developer,” a guest author in numerous developer magazines, as well as a renowned speaker at various developer conferences. In addition to SharePoint, my publications mainly cover .NET: Parallel Computing.

Taking over of challenges and planning of SharePoint implementation. Implementation of numerous SharePoint extensions for the public portal, among others:

Paying fines through an online form
Workflow-based newsletter distributer integrated into SharePoint + integration of AWS SES, including evaluation of read mail.
Integration of a live streaming solution in SharePoint via AWS Media Services for the live broadcast of public meetings.
Evaluation and processing of election data. Outsourcing of the calculation logic for election results to the AWS Lambda function.
Extensions and adaptations for the SharePoint search, including adaptations to the search templates.
Implementation of a TermStore management solution for the categorisation of content.

Implementation of an online shop and integration into SharePoint.
Numerous WebParts for the output of content through various representations – such as a news carousel for displaying the latest announcements
Implementation of a video platform for the management of videos. The videos are saved in AWS S3 and converted into different formats via the AWS media services. The conversion takes place automatically after uploading a video via an AWS Cloudwatch event and the calling of an AWS Lambda function. Management and access to AWS S3 was implemented with the Telerik Browser widget. The display on SharePoint is carried out through special WebParts.
Support for migrations from SP 2007 -> SP 2010 -> SP 2013 and currently to SP 2019.
Creation of various content types, page layouts, and custom fields.
Implementation of event handlers to synchronise content during publishing to AWS DynamoDB.
Implementation of WebParts for the client-sided reading of AWS DynamoDB content.
